Spring is finally here but a typical frost delay pushed our tee times back about 40 minutes. Turned out to be a beautiful sunny and warm day for a pre-season smaller tournament to start getting the rust off. Many players haven't even swung a club since last fall and it was just nice to be able to get out in mid March. Flight and Field sizes will increase once the official season starts in a couple weeks. Round times were ok and averaged 4 hours 36 min. Welcome to all the new players. Congratulations to all the winners at Butler's.

#REMINDER--we are still in the off season and rounds played up to April 1 in this area cannot be posted to GHIN. After April 1 all players MUST post all their own rounds to GHIN or you will receive a penalty score.....and make sure it is posted as a COMPETITION round if it was a tournament. Also, make sure slope and rating (tees played) is correct, and you should enter scores hole by hole to make sure it is properly reduced if needed (max score allowed per hole). If the tees you played are different than what is in the system, you can simply go to www.ghin.com to manually enter course name, slope, rating, and total 18 hole score (but you have to know if any hole is reduced (max per hole is par + 2 + how ever many strokes you get on that particular hole). Not all phone apps have a manual entry link. And GHIN is requiring a digital profile of all players and some apps are different than others. If you are having a problem logging on for the first time this year, you will need to contact the association (WPGA), not your club.
