Youghiogheny Country Club Results, PCS #6 with Stableford Scoring---Sunday May 16, 2021

#REMINDER-all players MUST post all their own rounds to GHIN or you will receive a penalty score.....and make sure it is posted as a COMPETITION round if it was a tournament. Also, make sure slope and rating (tees played) is correct, and you should enter scores hole by hole to make sure it is properly reduced if needed (max score allowed per hole). If the tees you played are different than what is in the system, you can simply go to www.ghin.com to manually enter course name, slope, rating, and total 18 hole score (but you have to know if any hole is reduced (max per hole is par + 2 + how ever many strokes you get on that particular hole). Not all phone apps have a manual entry link.
The tournament yesterday at Youghiogheny CC was played from the following tees. The PGT tournament tees are the same as the regular course mens tees in the GHIN system, so hole-by-hole entry can be done. Step by step instructions on how to correctly enter your score is always posted at the registration and scoring table. Because we played Stableford scoring you must know what the maximum score you are allowed on a hole if you took an X, or if you enter hole-by-hole, enter a double digit score and the system will automatically reduce it for posting purposes.

If it's not one thing, it's another, as they say.... an outside agency, a cart breakdown, Covid, etc...

We had nice weather on the course all day and the first 10 groups all finished well under 4.5 hours, but some cart breakdowns in the last few groups cause slowdowns for the remaining groups. Many of the Private Clubs we play have a limited number of carts, so we are at the mercy of recycling them and waiting on the club members out in front of our larger group. Many of the courses this year are also experiencing reduced maintanance and some areas are not up to par. Bunkers are the best example of this and why we play lift-smooth-place when in sand bunkers. Overall, the course was in nice shape and played tough as usual. Stableford scoring kept everyone in the tournament, but you still had to make the shots and score well to cash. Congratulations to all the winners at Youghiogheny.

Some matches have alreay been completed in the Year Long Match Play tournament. We will pair you at upcoming tournaments, but it is still each players responsibility to schedule or advise us when they will actualy play their match.
